The inaugural Trillvision Film Festival Awards Ceremony was hosted by Tezzie Baby and Q-Nice, as we honored the dedication and creativity of our talented filmmakers. Both jury and audience awards were presented for outstanding achievements. The festival ended with some closing remarks from festival director, David Velo Stewart.
This engaging panel discussion was moderated by Carmen Melinda and Chris Patterson. And with assistance from our esteemed panelists, Nicki Mayo, Talisha Dunn-Square, David L $Money Train$ Watts and Clarence Gaines, they explored the iconic urban films "I Got The Hook Up," "Romeo Must Die," "Belly" and "State Property." From cultural impact to storytelling techniques, the panel saught to answer the question, "Why did rappers in the '99 & 2000's decide to make films?"
Moderated by Uncle P, filmmakers from the festival shared behind the scenes information about their films and filmmaking journey. The panel also particiapted in a thought-provoking discussion centered around "Purple Rain," "Fight Club," and "Trading Places."
Moderated by Tira Yasmine and panelists Da Boogie Man, Q-Nice, Azrie'l Johnson, Jamie Mayes, Journee Blu, and Johnathon Jackson, this panel explored the power of poetry in storytelling. While delving into the cinematic gems "Love Jones" and "Poetic Justice," the panel discussed how these films resonated with audiences and celebrated the art of poetic expressiong on screen.
