Jason currently lives in LA with his wife and children but is originally from Chicago where he has strong roots. He grew up surrounded by music on both sides of his family, within the church, and through cultural emersion in the city’s vast music heritage. It was in Chicago where he founded a music ministry, set up a home-based recording studio, and began to truly forge his own musical identity. Supporting others and sharing the power of music, he established Jason Ferg Music, LLC to more effectively produce his own original music as well as provide live music for events, offer consulting services to emerging artists, and deliver music-centered, personal development workshops and programs for all ages and backgrounds.

Over the years, he has fostered safe, healthy, and vibrant communities on university campuses; increased access to affordable medications and housing for under-resourced individuals living with HIV/AIDS; conducted prostate cancer research and promoted prostate health among at-risk men; helped military veterans reintegrate civilian life by training them for domestic and international disaster response missions; and assisted communities in the cycle of preparing for, responding to, recovering from, and mitigating against disasters of all types.
